Poem

RAINBOW

by Green tea

Yesterday, it was raining.
Raining was behind the bars and tears in my mind too.

Today it is raining.
We step forward and go out with an umbrella.

Tomorrow, it will be rainbow with red, yellow,
green, blue, and BLACK!

The day after tomorrow, it will be sunshine all over the world.

Poem

SPONGE

by Jimmy LEE

I think my sponge
is my favorate toy.
A sponge is as yellow
as sun flower.
It has more holes
than the piece of cheese.
It can't sink
The sponge drinks water,
like an elephant's trunk
Water is junk food.
If it drinks water, it will be
fat, fat, fat, and fat.
If he wishes to drink it,
then let him drink!
But then, he will have to go on
a diet.
S-Q-U-I-R-T!
If we wipe floor with the
sponge, the floor is going to be
shiny!
The sponge is trying to lick it?
It will make you spit.
It doesn't have a good taste.
Now, do you know why I think
a sponge is my favorite toy?
It's useful, helpful, toyful sponge.

Black On Black

Black on Black
Race and Skin
White on White
Where does it begin?
Red on Red
Bleeds and Cries.
Yellow on YellowA Bullet Flies.
Black on Black
Hate and Skin
to Choke,
to Strangle
What is, What's been!
Black to Black
White to White
Halloween or
ChristmasDay or Night?

Say it's Yesterday
or
Sing it Tomorrow
Humanity's roots
gnarled and narrow.
Deny, Conspire
Hates like Fire!Comes to be
in many ways.
Ethnic Cleansing? Slaughter Slays.
Genocide.
The Devil's been overpaid.
Lost souls,
darkness
Holocaust.
Which one is Hitler
yet,
among all us?
SorrowBorrowed
Tomorrow
Follows
Black on Black
Shadows, or Shades
blind our eyes
See
the color Fades.

President Jenny served her first day in office yesterday. Waking up bright and early at 6 a.m., the president walked her pet dog, just like many presidents before her. Afterward, she kicked off the work day by meeting with the members of the White House staff to discuss the text for the weekly radio address.

Everyone the president meets has rave reviews about her work.

"President Jenny is the best boss I've ever had!" Sara Silviato, one of the White House aides, said.

Once the first morning meeting concluded, the president attended the dedication ceremony for a new war memorial. However, she must have worked up quite an appetite since she then went to a lunch honoring the new ambassador to Italy. Spaghetti, the White House head chef's specialty, was the main dish.

The president's afternoon started with a bill signing ceremony for a key piece of education legislation. Then President Jenny retired to the Oval Office to chat by phone with the space shuttle astronauts.

Tensions ran high when word reached Washington that the Chinese were attempting to overthrow the Taiwanese government. In response, the president met with foreign policy advisers to discuss the options.

After that, President Jenny asked her aides to update her regularly as the situation in Taiwan changes and continued on with her evening plans. So she ordered pizza and wings for the family and then watched a movie. But before calling the day complete, the president read a few chapters of "Holes" by Louis Sachar and went to bed.

Chief of Staff Malcolm Bishop declared President Jenny's first day a success. "It was long," he said, "but we're feeling great about our next three years and 364 days in office!"
